Expecting... rain?

One of the great things about being an illustrator is that when I can't find a stamp image I want, I can draw one up and make a digi stamp myself, haha. :) Which is exactly what I did here:

I made this card for a dear friend who is happily expecting Baby #2. I used glossy accents on the ground for the puddle and all over the umbrella to give it that "wet" look. I really like how it turned out. :)

Have a great weekend everyone - I'm heading out with the girls to go {rock climbing}, woohoo! Wish me luck, cuz it's been a few years. If I don't have posts up next week you'll know that I fell to my death and you can mourn my passing, hahaha. ;)

Bright and Cheery

I have been itching to ink up some of my new rubber, so I pulled out my favorite image from the Dressy Miss Anya Set from The Greeting Farm and got busy:

I {love} this designer paper from Stampin' Up! It's so bright and cheery, I think I'll be using it a lot. :) This is also my card for Wild Card Wednesdays over at the Club Anya blog.

Have a great day peeps!

A shabby-sweet Christmas card

I have loved Sugar Nellie from a distance for a long time, but a few months ago I finally ordered my first SN images and I'm hooked! So when I saw the challenge on The Sugar Bowl, I knew I wanted to play along. Here is my Shabby Chic and super sweet Sugar Nellie Card:

Since I need to make all my Christmas cards by December, I chose to use Hug in a Mug for my image and make another holiday card. I'm happy with how this one turned out, but it's pretty large - I need to buy some bigger envelopes, lol!

Another birthday gift set

Several months ago I found a boxed set of 100 Thank You cards (with envelopes) on clearance for $4. Score!! The cards were flimsy little paper things, and the envelopes are a bit too small for regular cards, but I've been hanging on to them. And I finally found the perfect use for them!

The Top Note Die from Stampin' Up! fits {perfectly} inside the envelopes, and 10 of these notecards and envelopes fit perfectly inside this little tin!

I wanted to make quick little notecards that would be simple and lie flat, for jotting a quick thank you or going with a homemade treat. I guess I was in an earthy mood because I'm really diggin' the green and brown, haha.

Have a great day everyone!

A change in posts...

Well, I've decided to switch things up a bit. Instead of posting my Weekly Scrapbook Challenges on Saturdays, I'm going to start posting them on Mondays for the coming week. I hope to give something away when people start playing along, and this will work better for me when that time comes. I've also decided to make Saturdays and Sundays my days off  from posting.

You can expect posts anyday Monday-Friday but nothing new on the weekend. Hopefully this will give me a chance to get posts scheduled for the coming week. :)

So today I have nothing new for you - but please check out the post below for my Weekly Scrapbook Challenge! Thanks-
