PLEASE NOTE: I am taking a break from blogging. :) Rest assured that I am still crafting and creating, but life has gotten busy with 4 little ones plus homeschool, so please forgive me while I take a little hiatus. I will have a few random posts here and there, but nothing consistent for awhile. Feel free to browse my past projects or send me an email if you have an questions - thanks!

A ramble and a simple little birthday card (for a man!)

Hi everyone!! Okay... I don't know why this is, because it seems backwards to me... but for the month before my little one arrived, I wandered around in a daze just waiting. It was very boring and VERY unproductive. You would think I would have spent the last few weeks DOING something before having a baby attached to my hip (or boob) all day, right? Yeah... I thought so too, haha.

What actually happened was that I did NOTHING for those weeks leading up to Audrey's birth, and now that she's here (and I'm not so sore) I re-discovered my mojo and I have been a crafty-creating fiend!! She's been here only 2 weeks and during that time I have already made a booster seat cover for my other daughter, 3 pairs of shorts for my son, several (albeit simple) last-minute thank you cards, a changing pad/diaper/wipes rollup case, 5 more of these burp cloths and read at least half a dozen new books. Seriously... who would have thought? I guess this little face is just so inspiring...

Isn't she darling?! I am so in love, *sigh*. Okay, enough babbling - you want to see my card, right? Well, here it is!

Paper: scrap stash (polka dots), Basic Grey; Stamps: The Greeting Farm (image), Papertrey Ink (sentiment); Border punch: Stampin' Up!. Memento ink, copics, adhesive foam, pearls.

I needed to make a card for my brother, but I was late getting it in the mail so I needed something quick. I always wonder what image to use when making him cards, and now that I think about it, I believe I've used this WS-Edward for the last several cards for him, haha. Oh well. I really like the simple, easy design of this card and how quick it came together... I think I may make a few more to keep on hand in various color combos and using different TGF images. I love my Greeting Farm stamps... they are {so} cute and SO quick to color - gotta love that! :) The FFF challenge last week was to use classic patterns, so I pulled out my 2 favorites for this card: pinstripes and polka dots. Can't get more classic than that. ;)

Alright, that's it for me today. Although I haven't been showing them on here, I actually HAVE kept up with my Project Life layouts - aren't you proud of me?! :) I am going to try and get back in the habit of posting them each Wednesday. Now that the waiting-for-baby game is over, I feel like I can finally get back to a regular routine. Consistent blog posts included, hahaha. :)

Have a great day everyone!
